Getting Started Checklist

Starting college is a big step, but we're here to help. The CCA website and following pages of this catalog include details on how to get started.

1. Start the Enrollment Process

Complete the online application to enroll at CCA. The application is FREE! You will receive an email with your student ID number and initial password 24-48 hours after submitting your application.

2. Determine Your Course Placement

Submit the English-Self Assessment questionnaire and Math Placement form to determine the English and math courses you can take during your first semester. Do you have prior college credits? Visit ccaurora.edu/transfer-in to transfer prior coursework to CCA.

3. Meet With Your Advisor

Meet with your advisor to select the right classes to complete your pathway of choice.

5. Connect With the Financial Aid Office

The Financial Aid team is ready to help you with your financial aid options. The team can assist you in-person, via phone, via email, and virtually! You can schedule a virtual appointment with Navigate or drop into a Zoom session.

Get to Know Navigate

CCA Navigate is an online tool that allows you to plan, schedule and register for the courses you want to take throughout your entire program at CCA and will help you stay on track. You will want to check Navigate regularly for next steps to complete.

CCA offers over 40 areas of degrees and certificates to choose from, many as part of seamless transfer plans. Students can take classroom, online, hybrid and evening/weekend classes to fit their schedule.

Each member of CCA’s skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate faculty and staff is committed to creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment for students. Students and alumni of diverse backgrounds have excelled at CCA and beyond.

CCA is a vital and vibrant part of Aurora and a center for the community. The cultural and intellectual offerings are often open to the public, free of cost and occur year-round.
