Testing Services

The CCA Testing Center provides a variety of testing services for students and community members. We strive to offer testing services in a minimal distraction environment, to administer placement tests, certifications, and credit-for-prior learning exams. Placement Tests (Accuplacer and LOEP)  by Appointment at CentreTech and Lowry Campus.  Visit www.CCAurora.edu/testing to schedule your appointment.

The ACCUPLACER® and LOEP help our Pathway Advisors determine where to begin your educational program. The test serves to ensure success in college by placing students in the appropriate-level courses. 

Make-up and Accommodation Class Testing—by Appointment at the Lowry Campus only.

The CCA testing center partners with the Library to offer make-up and accommodated testing on the Lowry Campus. Prior coordination between the student and instructor is required to access this service. College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)—by Appointment at the CentreTech and Lowry Campus.

The CLEP is a series of examinations that may allow students to earn college credit for what students already know, regardless of where they learned it. CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the United States. Meet with your Pathway Advisor to find out if this test is right for you. DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST)—by Appointment at the CentreTech Campus only.

The DSST program offers over 35 examinations in a wide range of college-level academic, technical, and business subjects. Meet with your Pathway Advisor to find out if this test is right for you. For more information about taking the DSST, visit www.CCAurora.edu/getting-started/testing/clep-dsst.

Active duty military members, who are part of the DANTES program, are eligible to take the CLEP and DSST for free at our CentreTech Campus. A valid military ID is required at time of check-in.

Other testing services available include Scantron, Pearson VUE, National Testing Network, HiSET, and various PLA exams.
